Refund Policy

Summary

We offer a 15-day refund if you subscribed but did not actively use the platform.

If you tried SmartRating and it wasn't the right fit — no hard feelings. Email us within 15 days of your payment and we'll make it right, provided the platform was not actively used.

1. Eligibility

You are eligible for a full refund if all of the following are true:

  • Your refund request is submitted within 15 calendar days of your most recent payment
  • Your account has not actively used the platform — defined as having no QR code scans, no customer review submissions, and no locations with active usage during the paid period
  • This is your first refund request for this account

2. What "Actively Used" Means

A subscription is considered actively used if any of the following occurred during the paid billing period:

  • One or more QR code scans were recorded
  • One or more customer review submissions were received
  • AI review generation was used on behalf of customers

Logging into the dashboard, creating locations, or customising QR codes does not constitute active use for the purpose of this policy.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

  • Requests made more than 15 days after the payment date
  • Accounts that have recorded active usage as defined above
  • Refund requests made after a previous refund was already issued for the same account
  • Partial refunds for unused days within a billing period (subscriptions are billed monthly in full)

4. How to Request a Refund

Email us at support@smartrating.io with:

  • The email address associated with your SmartRating account
  • The date of your payment
  • A brief reason for your request (optional but helpful)

We will respond within 2 business days. If approved, refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

5. Cancellations

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Billing → Manage billing. Cancelling stops future charges. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period — we do not pro-rate cancellations.

Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund. Refund eligibility is assessed separately per the criteria above.

6. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
